Learn Thai Language







Thailand, formerly known as Siam, located at the north of Malaysia, as a neighbor of our country. The country come with their own unique living culture and language.

To learn thai language, in the begining, we have to know about their consonants and vowels

Thai Consonants
There are 44 consonants symbols in the Thai alphabet which produce different sounds to pronounce. As there are some consonants come with same pronunciation, therefore each consonants will use different things either human, object, animal, or plant to represent it.

Thai Vowels
After learning the consonants, then can come to know their vowels. Same as Malay or English, Thai language also need to combine the consonants and vowels so that they can produce the sounds and become a word. There are 32 vowels and can be categorized into long vowels and short vowels.

Tone Marks
When read a thai word, often will see one of 4 tone marks, which help to apply the correct tone. The fifth is just normal tone which has no mark. The tone is very important as there are different meaning in different tone although the word are same.
